Micah's Seattle Condominium Part 1

After spending the day with Alexis shopping and picking up some fresh seafood for dinner at Pike's Peak Market, Micah and Alexis walk hand in hand to the building overlooking the market...

Micah: Well, here we are. Home sweet home. I'm on the top floor.

Alexis looks up... and up... and up.

Alexis: Wow, what part of it is yours?

Micah: The top floor.

He holds the door to the building open for Alexis.

Alexis walks through the door.

Alexis: Right, I heard you say you were on the top floor, but where on the floor is it?

Micah: Then you weren't listening, hon. I said...THE top floor...is mine. The elevator has a special key coded for the top three floors, which are each owned by three different people. I have the penthouse. So...ready to see it?

Alexis' eyes widen.

Alexis: The whole floor is yours? It's huge! Yeah I wanna see it!

Micah smiles and the two take the elevator up to the top floor, where there is a short hallway. Micah takes out his keys and opens the door to his penthouse condo...


Micah: Come on in...check out that view. It's the reason I bought the place...

Alexis is impressed.

Alexis: And I thought Alex's place had a nice view.

I see, Micah says to himself.

Micah: Make yourself at home, while I put the groceries away. Would you like something to drink? I do have Vanilla Coke...

Alexis chuckles

Alexis: Either you know me too well, or I'm that obvious....

Micah smiles...

Micah: One Vanilla Coke coming up. Actually...this'll be a special one for you...you'll like this.

Alexis sits on the couch.

Alexis: Ooh, what is it?

Micah doesn't answer but Alexis can hear a quick blend from his blender. After he puts the groceries away and starts the shrimp marinating for dinner later, he emerges from the kitchen with a chilled green tea for himself...and a Vanilla Coke that's in the consistancy of a slurpee for Alexis...

Micah: Here we are. Hey...why don't we have drinks on the balcony? There's...something I'd like to talk to you about.

Alexis accepts the drink.

Alexis: Thanks! This looks really cool. What's going on?

The two sit by Micah's pool. Micah sits in the lawn chair and has Alexis sit in between his legs and has her recline on his chest...

Micah: Well, actually a couple of things. Colin mentioned that you and him had a little...discussion about some things your dad did...

Alexis nods.

Alexis: Yeah, found out about dad kicking Jillian... people say your dad was bad, but jeeze....

Micah: Heh...I understand...I think your dad was under my dad's influence. I'm not sure.

The other thing I want to talk to you about...and I think you already know...

...is Alex.

Alexis glances quickly at Micah.

Alexis: What about him?

Micah: I know that you like him, Alexis. Your eyes give you away, hon.

Alexis sighs.

Alexis: I already told you I had a crush on him. But that's not why I live at his place. I wanted to come to Chicago and he was already there. Figured that would make it easier. Besides, you wouldn't have to worry either way. He's not interested in me.

She chuckles a little.

Alexis: He thinks I'm a brat, so it's more like being with Colin than anything.

Micah: Not intrested? I see...

She's lying. Look at her. You can see it.

Micah: Perhaps I misread the situation, cause it seems to me that there is intrest there on his side. I mean, I think I'd know what that would look like...since I have that same intrest in you.

Alexis shakes her head.

Alexis: You two do not act the same way.

Micah gives a big, genuine smile...

Micah: Oh? Are we so different?

Alexis nods.

Alexis: Yeah, you do. He acts so silly sometimes... you know I almost think... but then I figure it's just me. It's not like he's drooling over me or anything.
