Micah's Seattle Condominium Part 1

Micah: You almost think what, hon? You kind of stopped mid sentance...

Alexis looks a bit uncomfortable.

Alexis: Ah... well... There are some times where he almost seems interested. But it's so quick I figure it's just me imagining things.

Micah sits back and sighs...

Micah: Right. I gotcha. Oh, it seems you've finished your drink. Should we get to cooking dinner?

I wouldn't want you to...meh, nevermind.

Alexis nods, sighing in relief.

Thank God that's over!

Alexis: Alright. What do you want me to do?

Micah: Well, we got the shrimp cleaned and devained. Hmm...You could zest the lime and the ginger and I'll start the pasta and the sauce, how about that?

The house phone rings...

Micah: Excuse me.

He picks up the phone...

Micah: St. Clair....'Mella? Is that you?

Alexis' jaw sets with the mention of Carmella's name.

Alexis: Fine. I'll get it started.

Micah looks over, away from the phone...knowing exactly what he's doing...

Micah: Is something wrong, Alexis?

Alexis glances at it, then glances at Micah, still on the house phone. She answers hers.

Alexis: Hey Alex, sup?

"Hey. Don't mean to interrupt, just wanted to make sure you arrived safe."

He hears her retained annoyance in her voice.

"You OK? You sound pissed about something....."

Alexis: Yeah, I'm fine. Carmella just called Micah, that's all. Can't really say anything cause they're siblings, kinda, you know?

Micah: No, that's fine......Yeah, tell Mom and Gabrielle that I'd be happy to swing by the house to check up on it......Yeah, no problem. Tell them to have a good trip. Yeah......bye.

"OK..... well if you need anything.... or just want to piss him off in return, just call me OK?"

Alexis: Al... right. I'll keep that in mind. Look, I gotta go, I'll talk to you later.

Micah: Sorry about that. My mom called Carmella. She wanted her to pass a message to me. In about a week, my mom wants me to go check on the house, you know. Make sure everything is on the up and up. Who was on the phone with you?

Alexis: It was Alex, ironically enough. Just checking to make sure I got here alright.

Micah: Oh...that's nice. He's a good...friend....isn't he?

Alexis: Yes, he is. If he wasn't he wouldn't have let me stay at his place to begin with.

After the ordeal at Breaking Kayfabe, Micah enters his apartment...alone and spent. The condo feels empty...just like he does. He doesn't know what to do. He sits on the couch and just stares...

Micah: Great fucking week this was. Wonder what's on the docket for tonight? I wonder if hanging myself off my balcony, over my pool would be considered artistic? It would be a hell of a visual.

He pours himself a Scotch and Soda...

Micah: To Alex and Alexis...fuck your happiness.

Scotch was my favorite drink....son...keep spiriling downward. I'll have you eventually....

Micah hears his buzzer go off...and he really doesn't want to answer it, but he hits the button...

Micah: House of the Dead...who is it?

Colin:"It's one of the Cenobites. Let me in."

Micah: Ugh...don't you have to go celebrate your sister's happiness or something?

Colin:"To quote an old adage, bros before hos. Come on open up."
